OSHA Update 2020
FYI, there is an exemption from OSHA programmed safety inspections if:
- You have less than 11 employees, and
- You are a commercial printer (litho, screen, digital or flexo).
However, you are not exempt from OSHA inspections because of fatalities, hospitalizations of 2 or more employees or employee complaints. Also, if you are a book printer you are not exempt.
If OSHA knocks on your door and you meet the top 2 criteria you can try to make them go away. If you don’t meet the criteria above and you would like to avoid the increased OSHA penalties, email Paul Gutkowski or call Paul at 612.400.6205.
